Ang Thong National Marine Park
This Nationalpark consists of 42 bigger and smaller islands which is called the Ang Thong Archipelgo. It is situated ca. 40 km in the west of Ko Samui. Many rare aquatic animals frequent the area, such as dolphins and whales. The islands are covered with dry evergreen forests, which provide watershed and nourish many rare flora and fauna. Daily tours by speedboat or conventional boat allow you to visit the Archipelago. Highlights of the tour are the visit of the Emerald Salt Lake, kayaking and snorkeling. Here you enjoy the marvellous water world with colourful corals and beautiful fishes. Or you climb to the view point on the top of the hill from where you have a breathtaking unforgetable view over the whole Archipelago.
