Big Buddha in the  Temple  What Phra Yai
This 12 meter large golden Buddha is a must for every visitor to Ko Sami. Sitting magnificiently upon the small island, Ko Fan, the huge statue is the islands most prominent landmark and it can often be seen in a distance of several kilometers from the air before the incoming aircraft lands.

Plai Laem Temple

Not very far away form Big Buddha a new Temple has been erected not so long ago. It is an attractive Tempelsite. The temple that sits an a giant lotus which is placed in a pond that is fullfilled with plenty of fishes. At a wall painting the life Buddhas is represented. A Gooddess with 18 arms is in contrast impressevely to the sky.
